Leaders, have you asked for feedback from your team members lately? If not, you should. Try this simple approach:
What can I do more of…
… less of …
… differently to support you in your role and your development?
💡 Tip 1: Give them a heads up that you’ll be asking so they have time to think about it.
💡 Tip 2: Don’t wait for the annual performance conversation. Ask this question at least quarterly.
💡 Tip 3: If they compliment you, say “Thank you.” If they give you constructive feedback (which they hopefully will), say “Thank you. Tell me more.”
