As an executive coach who supports leaders on their emotional intelligence journeys, and also as a yoga teacher, you’d think I would have The Untethered Soul by now.
Alas, non-fiction almost always seems to migrate to the bottom of my stack of books. Reading is my escape, and it’s fiction that gets me out of my head.
As we were heading out camping this weekend, I grabbed this book, which has been in/on my nightstand for 4+ years.
I finally sat down to start reading it yesterday at our campsite along the banks of Cottonwood Creek. While yes, the picture was staged, I took it long after I plopped myself down on the rock to read. I couldn’t have asked for a better location to dive into this exploration of consciousness and mindfulness.
I’m only 4 chapters in so far (I DID have a fiction book to get back to!), but it’s already got me thinking. If you’ve read the book, the fact that it’s got me thinking is a bit ironic.
Thanks to Geoff Charron for the recommendation!
🔹If you’ve read this book, what was your greatest takeaway?
🔹Any other mindfulness books you’d recommend? (My favorite is Living Your Yoga by Judith Hanson Lasater.)
